I appreciate that choosing your wedding photographer is quite a commitment, so enclosed below are the answers to the most common questions I'm asked.

Before the day

  • Whereabouts do you cover?

I primarily cover London and the surrounding areas (Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex, Kent and Surrey), but I shoot throughout the UK and also cover destination weddings abroad.  In the UK, I've been as far east as Folkestone, as west as Bristol and as north as Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds.

  • Do you charge for travel?

Travel costs are inclusive for my packages in the UK (excluding overnight accommodation, which would be discussed at the time of booking), so there are no unexpected additional costs.  If required, I arrive the day before and stay at a local B&B or hotel so I'm fresh and ready for your day.

  • Do we get to see you before our big day?

Yes!  I love to meet clients beforehand (at the wedding venue is best for me).  This way we can get to know each other, I can have a look around to plan for your big day and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have too.  I generally recommend that we do pre-wedding meetups 3-4 months before the wedding day (to give you time to get things organised).

  • When and how do we have to pay you?

I require a £150 non-refundable deposit to reserve the date for you.  The balance is then due 14 days before your wedding.  I accept payment by BACS direct bank transfer, PayPal or cheque.

On the day

  • Do you have insurance?

Yes, I'm fully insured with both professional indemnity and public liability insurance (proof of both is available upon request).  Some venues also ask that I provide evidence of my public liability insurance which I'm happy to do.

  • Do you have any formal training in photography?

No, I'm entirely self-taught.  You must think I'm fairly good to have made it this far though ;-)

  • Do you have backup equipment?

Yes, I always bring at least two camera bodies and a number of lenses, flashes, batteries and memory cards.

  • Is it yourself who will be shooting our wedding?

Yes, all weddings are exclusively shot by myself.

  • What happens if you are ill on the day of the wedding?

I know how absolutely important your wedding day is and I have never cancelled or arrived late.  However, in the extremely unlikely event that I cannot make it, I will make arrangements for another documentary wedding photographer to take my place.

Afterwards

  • How long does it take to receive our photos and the print album after our wedding?
    • I e-mail a summary of at least twenty pictures within two days so you can share them with friends and family immediately.
    • All the pictures will be delivered on DVD by post within twenty-eight days of your wedding.
    • The print album will be delivered by post within twenty-eight days of you informing me of your choices.

I hope I've covered everything but please get in touch if you'd like to make a booking or have an enquiry which I've not addressed here!
